I bought two tickets for Swedish House Mafia for last night, V-VIP. The entire front of the VVIP deck was closed off for 'the owners', managed by bouncers who made me feel like a kid trying to get into a night club under-age. My partner and I are in our 40s and were looking forward to seeing a great production. We couldn't see anything - we were confined to the back part of the deck and the bar.
I asked a few of the bouncers and waiters where I could find the boss to ask for access to the viewing part of the deck - most didn't know and the reception said it was 'Dylan, in a white shirt' and I should look out for him. Alternatively, I should go down to the main section of the venue with everyone else if I wanted a better view. However there is a reason I purchased VVIP tickets - specifically for a better view and superior treatment. So that didn't solve our problem.
I feel totally disempowered, disappointed and upset. This was for me a once in a lifetime event which we were willing to invest R3, 000 in - instead we were relegated to the back section of the deck and made to feel like the poor second cousins.
