Multichoice refuses to repair faulty walka

My son was given a Walka. It came with the correct Walka cover. The unit is on the uncles Multichoice account. The cover did not even last 3 months before it started breaking. The cover was a bad design as it did not allow the unit to breath and thus it over heated. Now the charge point has gone faulty. The volume goes up and down on its own. The unit has very poor reception, I wanted to take it back to Game were it was purchased only to be told it had to go directly to Mulitchoice. I took it to Multichoice and was told they can not help as I am not the account holder. They need the account holder so that they can charge someones account. The unit is still under warrenty and I dont see why it matters as to who hands the unit in. You get your subscription every month and then still try and get more from a faulty unit.
