Multichoice
Poor service and no assistance

My dstv decoder, which is an older model, bombed out over the weekend past. I took the decoder in to multi choice to see why the decoder stopped working and possibly to fix it.

The account isnt in my name, however the responsible person was called via cell phone and verified all the necessary information.
Not only couldnt they tell me the problem, they didnt offer to fix it. I was told either to buy a new decoder @R499 or a secondhand one @R365

The consultant had no knowledge of the new decoder, the one she expected me to buy, in the sense that i was told that the new decoder was similar the the one i had to replace?

On the other hand i was also told the secondhand decoder are those ones that are faulty, they get sent to jhb for repairs and resold to the public. But they have a 3month warranty and she didnt advise that option, but also told me they cant buy my current faulty decoder but i should sell it to someone else.

The best part is, after they got permission by the person responsible for the account and took payment for the new decoder, i was told that i still need to fax through docs to confirm the change? Which i dont understand because the subscription didnt change.
