I contacted Galagos Lodge on Tuesday (2/07/13) and spoke with Yolandi Raath regarding a room for 2 people for Saturday. She informed me that their kitchen was being renovated so it was not possible to be served food but we were welcome to stay and eat out, stating the availability of a suite. I told her that I would like to book the suite and she asked me to send the enquiry via their website. I did this but received no response. I tried calling first on the landline and then on her on the cellphone number on Wednesday but I only reached her voicemail and I left a message asking her to get in touch with me.By the morning we were quite worried that they would not call me back, having put all our eggs in one basket. It is now Thursday and still nobody from Galagos Lodge has contacted me. I was lucky enough to find a last minute alternative but the whole experience with Yolandi and Galagos Lodge has been disheartening and I certainly cannot recommend such a place for 1) having not been given the opportunity to experience it and 2) because of the first impression that gave me. - I guess I am lucky in that this all happened before I parted with my money... still upsetting though
