A few days ago I heard an ad on ECR for a PVR and the ad said "buy and install for R1400" I thought that I had misheard because I know that the PVR installation is expensive. I decided to wait for the advert to come on again to be sure of my facts. This morning at 0745 the ad came on again - and once again the ad said PVR bought and installed for R1400.00 Wow what excitement... I could eventually afford a PVR!!! I called the call centre (Johannesburg) and the person on the phone had no clue about the promotion and then put me on hold to check the details. Yes she said - the PVR is R1400 if you buy from the Multichoice office - no problem -BUT you have to pay R650 for the install voucher... WHAT??? I said that I had just heard the AD on the radio and she proceeded to tell me that I had heard incorrectly... I insisted that I wanted that offer and she said that I was mistaken and that was the end of the discussion. What a load of false advertising... Multichoice you better honour this advert or I am reporting you the ASA... Thanks
