The Price of DSTV keeps going up but the quality of content keeps going down. Over the last couple months the quality of the movie content has been steadily declining. My suspicions: They are dropping the quality of movie content to force viewers to view and rent boxoffice movies because they obviously make more money out of the rentals.
I can understand that their are many different views with respect to what a good movie is. But their is little ambiguity in saying if a movie is either popular or fairly new (released in the last 2 years), both of witch are being showed on the DSTV movie channels fewer and fewer.
Furthermore on channels 103 to 110 between almost every movie a "behind the scenes:..." program is showed for half an hour at at time which takes up even more time that good popular movies could be played. I mean movie channels are for movies and not for movies about movies. I know they are good to view maybe once a day but not between every movie. For Example on todays (2013-06-26) schedule for channel 103 there are 10 "behind the scenes: " shows op taking up 5 hours of time and a further 3 hrs of movie highlights. Definately not worth R695 every month.
