3D is a gimmick and it ruins the movie experience. It's uncomfortable to wear those silly glasses. It hampers the light - i.e. it makes the screen darker and strains the eyes to watch darker scenes. The edges of the screen is unclear due to the 3D effect. 3D movies cost a fortune. I can't put my head on my husband's shoulder during the movie, because with the stupid glasses you have to keep your head up straight to be able to see properly due to the polarising effect. And lets face it, 3D does not really add that much to the experience (and actually just takes away from the viewing quality and comfort).
Why would I leave the comfort of my house and pay a fortune and watch a movie in discomfort???
If a movie is available only in 3D and I am not given the option to view it in (the better quality) 2D, I will not watch the movie on big screen anymore.
If Ster Kinekor cannot provide adequate product offering and give me the option to watch a 2D movie, why would I make use of their service?
