We purchased a house through Leap Frog just over a year ago. When we moved into the Ouse and the first Cape Town rains came the entire house was leaking like a sieve. Every room the water was pouring in the house, something that must have been evident and clear to the seller. We called in 3 different experts one being Leith Roofing, whom are the tool roofing people in Cape Town. The reports where shocking, the entire roof was defective infant the inspector could put his finger right through the corrugated sheeting. His words were " in his 25 years in business this was the worst roof that he had ever seen".
My question is did the agent make it clear to the seller that if the was any structural defects that they must be disclosed. Also now we have a bill for R120 000 for a new roof! I thought that the CPA protects buyers, we have had our case at a lawyer now for over a year and are devastated and cel completely cheated.
