I have rented a place through this agency for the past 30 months. I was an excellent tenant, I looked after the unit as if it were my own and always paid my rent way before its due date. My husband and I bought our first home so I handed in my 2 month notice as per contract agreement. When the unit was viewed by other people interested in renting it, I was told that they had viewed several other units and this unit was by far in immaculate condition compared to the rest. Now i am being told by RYX (via email) that my entire deposit has been used up to repaint the entire unit and clean the carpets. I am in total disagreement with the ridiculous charges that I am being accounted for because when I moved out I left the unit in a spotless condition. Now all my emails are being blocked on their side and whenever I phone the offices I am advised that Monica is not in the office and she never returns my calls! I was surprised to see that I was not the only victim here of the same complaint so this is obviously something that RYX is keen to continue doing. I shall be reporting this to the Rental Housing Tribunal. Please do not use this agency. Their have no business ethics!
