I rented a unit from them. The deposit that I paid on 4/4/2011 was R3 950-00 excluding contract fees etc.
The deposit that I got back on 15/03/2013 was R1 652-25
Te deposit was made up of the following:
Deposito R3 300-00
Remote Deposito R 400-00
Deposito vir Elektrisiteit R 250-00
Rita says I only paid R3750.00 deposit.
They say I earned R142-25 interest.
The part of the deposit that was NOT paid to me is R2 297-75
After phoning and mailing Rita to find out why the money has not been paid out, they e-mailed me an invoice from Lourens De Wet whom they used to repair the damages done to the apartment.
The invoice was for an amount of R1801.20. The invoice did not specify the cost of ech item repaired or the cost of paint and labor. After phoning Lourens about it he said that he can not give me a specified invoice and that it was a general cost. I asked why he painted the whole unit if only one wall was dirty. He said he was instructed to. He also confessed that there are items on the invoice that he knows I can not be held responsible for. Shelves were replaced at my cost which were damaged before I moved in.
