After handing back the keys of rented flat (F1 Bordeaux, Sea Point) end of January 2012, which was rented by us for our son Brandon Herbst, the estate agent informed us that the landlord must give us our deposit back, because after we paid the deposit to the estate agent, they transferred it to the owner's account. It took the estate agent almost the whole month of February to get hold of the landlord, Jarrad Treger.when my son vacated the flat, mr Gaultier was satisfied with the condition it was left in. We then requested our deposit to be refunded. Only then did mr Gaultier say he cannot get hold of the owner but will keep trying. Up to then we still didnt receive final checklist. A new tenant has already moved in. All of a sudden the owner sent an e-mail to say that the flat was "in a state" and he doubts any balance of the deposit to be paid back. We need help regarding this unfortunate matter.
