I had previous dealings with other agents that were part of Centurion Real Estate who were the epitome of professional and demonstrated solid customer service. Then I had an SMS conversation with "Johann" after he refused to take my calls. Everything was fine until he slid into a tail spin of abusive language, seemingly without any possible rhyme or reason. Apparently I hadn't confirmed our appointment or been specific enough, but somehow I suspect he didn't actually read the SMS's I had sent since I had, in fact, done both these things. He just seemingly slipped off the rails mid-conversation and became childish and very undignified. Before dismissing me, he didn't even bother finding out that we have a 20% deposit and pre-approval from the bank. I'm pretty sure the clients he represents wouldn't have appreciated this.
The following is an excerpt from the Estate Agency Affairs Board Code of Conduct
2.2 shall protect the interests of his client at all times to the best of his ability, with due regard to the interests of all other parties concerned
But since you didn't care, I wonder if I can just approach the owners of the sixth floor unit at Villa Luca on my own. Fair?
