Jika Properties
Poor Client service

Hi, My name is Peace and I am a tenant in 134 Louis Botha Avenue in Belleview. We have been having electricity problems for more than a year now, we have reported to Jika Properties who own and manage the building but they keep saying they sort us out. Last year the box that they had put exploded and almost burnt the whole building. They have put up pre-paid meters without informing the any of the tenants and lately there has been frequent power cuts because they constructed back rooms without the council's permission so they had to run a cable to the back to supply the back rooms with electricity. The back rooms do not have meters so they are using the electricity bought by us (from the main building) On the 30th October 2013 we went to the office to raise our concerns and the directors to us that the problem is with City power of which when we followed up found out that Jika owes City power a lot of money. Our problem is that because of the bridging of electricity, If the building burns down we will lose our belongings and even worse we might be kicked out of the building without notice. What we need for them to do id simply sort out the problem buy put a proper electricity box.
