Just letting Claiming Repair Costs Unlawfully

I recently cancelled my lease agreement after 2 years of occupation through Just letting.

Having fulfilled my end of the bargain and leaving the unit as I found it.
Just letting performed an outgoing inspection, I cooperated fully and had the unit cleaned, returned the keys and was present at he inspection.
Not long after I received a list of defects and a mail stating I would be held responsible for these costs marked with a T .

The Rental Housing Act 50 of 1999 Sates clearly that a landlord has to conduct an in-going inspection in the presence of the tenant to compile a list of defect for comparison with an outgoing inspection also in the presence of the tenant. If he does not do either or one he accept the property is in a good state of repair and cannot claim against the tenants deposit or other moneys.

No in-going inspection was done by a just letting inspector or the land lord with me present, despite my effort to alert them of these defects, it was shrugged off and they made it my problem.
Now they claim to have made provision to list defects on the lease agreement and this is why I am being held liable which is blatant skirting of the Law
