In February I moved into a townhouse Vleiloerie benoni after signing a rental contract for a year for a townhouse that was advertised on Internet as peaceful and quiet. Much to my surprise its not. Since i moved in i complaint to the agent that the owner below me in number 31 has a dog that barks non stop.
Until today no joy, I have sent messages on my phones that if nothing is going to be done then i rather want another place but obviously I am not prepared to loose my deposit. Until today nothing has been done. Speaking to the care taker of the complex didn't help as well I am not surprised because she is friends with the lady in nr32. I even sent a recording of the barking dog to the agent.
At the end of the day I pay my rent before its due ever month new tenants are not allowed to keep animals but yet i need to listen to this dog that barks 24/7 every day. You cant sleep or even decide to take a nap on a weekend rest assure the dog will bark. Even if the dog is inside the unit you can hear him barking. To watch TV is a mission because you hear the dog, my kids had ex cams last month they couldn't study. Surely i have the right to have peace and quiet???
