Earlier this year I sold my sectional title unit and a clearance certificate from the managing agent was necessary in order to effect transfer. To obtain the certificate two months levies in advance and a fee for the certificate had to be paid which was paid by the Attorneys handling the transfer.
Since the registration of the unit in the new owners name (8 April 2013) I have been trying to get the levies repaid as the new owner is responsible for the levies from date of registration.
The Managing Agent (Huurkor 012 400 2000) and the transferring Attorneys (Rob Weide Attorneys 012 349 1895, Natasha Henshaw 079082 1952) are each saying the other has not informed them correctly and refer me to each other when I make enquiries. I have made several phone calls (from Cape Town where I now reside) and sent emails, to both with no result. HELP. If this matter is not resolved within the next week I will consider further steps to recover this money.
