I have received a call last week from Sars agent and cannot explain the amount owing. In May 2012 I submitted my tax returns as per procedure and was then assisted by sars agent as they were at our companies offices to make sure we submit all documents correctly. I was then paid money owed to me by sars within their required time of payment. I then was sent notification to resend my documents which in turn went to their offices and confirmation from their agent all my submitance was all in order as per the auditors from Sars. How delayed can a huge organisation like Sars to come back and tell me I owe and if I don't pay with 10 working days I will face legal action. Who is in the wrong here I' m a loyal South African civilian who has always submitted tax returns in time and now I have to pay for a crime I did not commit. What are the procedures in place as all was submitted accordingly and correctly as per the organisation. Going forward I need an auditor to explain thoughrouly as why am I being treated this way and why was I given false information from the onset and why am I supposed to suffer the stress of the one's who are serving us as loyal South African tax paye
