Property was registered into new owners name in September 2021. New owner opened rates, water and electricity account immediately. I also submitted cancelation and refund request immediately 15/09/2021. Submitted online and emailed. I have been following up relentlessly but to no avail. I have a large credit sitting with Ethekwini municipality. On 6 March 2022 i was told that they are still waiting for final meter reading. However there is a record of a meter reading taken on 8 March 2022 on your system. Why not use it and finalize my account. I find this unacceptable. How is this right, 6 months and i still don't have my money back to which you are earning interest on. And i am still being billed.
I need someone in senior management to please contact me on email [email protected] urgently to have this escalated. I have many many emails regarding me following up and just being told "account us not finalized yet".
