On September 3, 2013 the city of Johannesburg decided to turn off the water supply in the fourways area for almost the entire day.
We are pretty reasonable human beings therefore we would have half expected the Municipality to respect this aspect of our being by pre warning us that there would be shortage of water, so that we could all plan accordingly
This level of courtesy was not afforded to us and it left several families stranded.
My wife has a contact at the municipality and was informed that there was some work being done in a certain area. Naturally, we would be very understanding but is it too much to ask the municipality to inform its residents that it (without fail) receives levies from?
This is not a professional practice and it lends credence to the stereotype of a very inefficient municipality.
Very disappointed in the ensuing customer service hotline as well where no one picked up calls.
Step it up COJ
