I went to SASSA to get a disability grant for my daughter whom turn 18 years on the 17/8/2013. I first phoned the social grant in Germiston and could eventually speak to Angie 0117768021 she is a supervisor to confirm what I should do and where to go.
Told me to come in at reception with melicia ID book and collect forms then complete it and return back then I will get a doctor's appointment where I then can bring Melicia in - Melicia is severe cerbal palsy by birth and we will have to carry her in that is fine no problem with that. Also mentioned that we will be helped promptly first when we arrive seeing our situation.
Back to Katin street Germiston as I got there you were not explained to where is it exactly you need to go there is chairs and ques everywhere anyway i asked one of the desk there inside then I sat and waited for my turn.
Got in he was rude never explained procedure and told me Angie is not his supervisor his supervisor is at home and I must not tell him how to do his job inter rubbed me continuously and cut me short anyway i was told next date to see doctor with Melicia and gave me the forms to complete.
Is this the way you get treated???
And no supervisors.
