Incorrect Billing and terrible service

I am not sure how this company operates. We have never subscribed to anything they offer but they are still charging us on our Telkom account. I have tried on numerous occasions to call/email them but my problem never gets corrected. I even listened to the call that they claim confirmed my subscription to them. This was done by the previous company that I took over the line from.

How can I be charged for something I never agreed to subscribe to? I have been unable to cancel the charge. I refuse to pay for this charge so I have an overdue Telkom account which is now charging me interest.

All I would like to do is clear all these charges and not be billed for something that I never asked for. However no amount of emails or telephone calls to either Telkom (Who act as a third party and is holding my telephone line hostage) or Trudon (a subsidary company of Telkom) is able to rectify this.

If I could I would cancel my telephone line altogether but I don't really have many options to change my service provider.

I would be curious to find out how legal this procedure is under the CPA. Telkom and Trudon have no signed document that I confirm and would like to be charged for this.
