Trudon, Publishers Of The Yellow Pages
Contracts signed illegally

Recently I looked at my Telkom bill and was shocked to see an amount of R 5561.00 per month for advertising with Yellow Pages. I queried this and was I find that this contract, and for the last couple of years, has been signed by an employee in my company. Prior to this the consultant used to make appointments with me and discuss what needed to changed/added to these adverts but stopped seeing me and went directly to this employee and told him just to check the details and sign that they are correct.

My question to Trudon is how can you now tell me that this contract is legal and binding when your consultant knowingly bypassed me and used the naivety of my employee to force this contract on me? Where is your copy of Power of Attorney, signed by me, giving such employee permission to sign on my behalf? What about the last 2 years contracts which were also signed illegally (approximately R 90, 000.00) which I have unknowingly paid you for? Where is my copy of this contract, I had a disciplinary meeting with this employee and he tells me the
consultant did not give him the "signed contract" and would send this off to me?
