Even though I have called and sent emails to cancel an unlawful charge on my Telkom bill, Trudon has not lifted a finger to sort this matter out.
They played us back a message from 2011, claiming that this made it okay for them to charge for a CANCELED account (in 2012) in 2013. The business isn't even at the same premises anymore! We canceled this ridiculously expensive yellow pages inclusion in 2012, but because 3 years ago we said yes, that makes it alright for Trudon to add 12 payments for hundreds of rands onto my phone bill now in 2013. Of course, if you refuse to pay, Telkom will turn off your line. So you are essentially blackmailed into paying fees you don't owe.
Trudon should be held accountable for this, and people should be warned about talking to these blatant that use recordings illegally to bully people into paying for canceled contracts. If this matter is not sorted out soon, more media action will be taken.
