I recently registered my business with rapid business registrations, i applied for tax registration last year august and after not hearing anything from them for a month i phoned and queried this. i was told they didn't receive my documents and i should send them again. i did this and kept in touch to find out if they had received the documents.they had received the documents and i was told it would take 21 days for the company tax registration. it has now been over 3 months and i still am not tax registered. every time i phone i get told that SARS is dealing with it and they will get back to me however nobody has ever got back to me. i am now loosing customers because i am not yet VAT registered as i need to be tax registered first. i am not certain if rapid business registrations is to blame or SARS, however it would be nice if somebody kept me up to date on what is going on and also get my company registered for tax!
