SABC TV LICENCING - WORST SERVICE!!!

July last year I was informed my tv licence was outstanding and given an account number in which to pay. After making the payment on the 31st of July I received numerous smses notifying me that I had been forwarded to the lawyers for not paying the money. I decided to wait a few months as the system might still automatically clear me after the processes were done. Early this year I called the department and was told to produce a bank statement as they could not see my payment. I have now produced the proof that was required and am informed it is not sufficient as I could have forwarded the money to another account. Not only is the service I receive not adequate and consistent, but the attitude and length of time I have to wait on the call is ridiculous. Never mind that I am not even using SABC TV services and am paying out of courtesy as I am no longer residing in South Africa, but the money I spend on the calls that do not even come with positive or progressive results is also frustrating. I am certain I have spent almost 3 times the licence amount only on trying to fix the problem of their negligence. I would like my name cleared and to report their poor service.
