Pure Pleasure poor service on faulty product

We purchased a king size fitted electric under blanket from Pick 'n Pay Hyper (Moffit Retail Centre) end July. I bought some groceries also and did not think to keep the slip. I kept the packaging to store during summer months.

After about 3 weeks' use (not even used every night), the one side was no longer working. We always switch it off before going to sleep and I noticed that the light was no longer burning and the side was not warm.

I took it back to Pick 'n Pay Hyper in its original packaging and they refused to exchange, refund or repair the item before I submit proof of purchase. They said that they would try to look it up using my smart shopper card, but I doubt that it would get much attention. They seem to feel that it is not their problem because I can not prove that I bought the item in their store.

I am very unhappy with Pure Pleasure as it is THEIR product that is faulty, and they refuse to repair without P.O.P!! IT IS THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT!

I will NEVER purchase any item from this company, OR Pick 'n Pay Hypermarket EVER again.
