Preen removes colour from clothing

I have two 100% cotton shirts with fresh oil stains on them. i followed the exact directions on the bottle of preen to remove the stains. immediately after applying the preen to the shirts i could see the colour run on the shirt, on the spot where i had placed the preen. reporting this to the customer care line this morning, got the following response, i doubt you will be assisted because you need to colour test your clothes. THIS IS NOT AN INSTRUCTION ON THE BOTTLE. I feel that if their product has ruined my shirts they should pay for the damage done.
