Crane's Nest
You call that a manicure and pedicure?

I was surprised by my bridesmaids and taken to Cranes Nest for a manicure, while they were to enjoy pedicures.. or so we thought.
First of all even though they say they have a spa section on their website (Spa Beau in Waterkloof Ridge) we were taken into a boardroom for our treatments.
Secondly the pedicures and manicures consisted of only the trimming and painting of the nails! No scrubbing, washing, cutting of treatment of cuticles ect.

Another shocking fact was that the cutex provided was some of the cheapest brands knows, such as essence that cost a mere R35.00: this will peel in no time.

Unfortunately it doesn't end here, even after two of my bridesmaids chose the colour of cutex they wanted, the lady that helped them decided no, she is going to choose her own colours and she also feels like adding flowers... you can't do that. You should respect the clients wishes.

Should we wish to have our nails filed and painted we will NOT pay R140.00 to have someone do it for you in a boardroom with their kids hanging around.

This is shocking and unacceptable. How someone can provide a "service" like that and sleep at night is something I can't understand!
