I had booked 18m3 of Starmix for delivery on the 15th March 2013 @ 2pm. Afrisam order number 100678562. The first truck (6m3) arrived on time because at 1pm I started chasing. The shute was in shocking condition and had I not had a hammer on site to repair I would have lost considerable concrete during offloading. The second (6m3) arrived at 15:50 and the final load (6m3) at 17:15. When I queried why the loads were running so late I was informed that the Spartan plant was overloaded and that the trucks were been despatched from Wadeville to Greenstone Hill. ( On a Friday afternoon during a thunderstorm!!) There was no communication from Afrisam advising that the deliveries would be running so late. I made several calls quering where my deliveries were and was given the run around. As a small business owner Afrisam are quick to take my money and then don't uphold your end of the bargain and deliver on time. The sales service was shocking and there was no person or department I could talk to to ensure I received my order on time. The sales office closes at 5pm and then sorry for you Mr Customer. No call prior to 5pm to advise me where my last 6m3 was or expected ETA.
