I recently began working in Uitenhage and decided to find a Vetshop in the area. I visited the Vetshop in the Penford Centre next to Pick 'n Pay as I was going to be getting a new puppy soon and wanted advice on the best food for my type of puppy. The lady who assisted me was obviously annoyed by my question and did little to hide it. I was embarrassed for having bothered her and left the shop after receiving her halfhearted assistance.
A few days later I needed to pick up some deworming and anti-flea drops for my 2 cats. I have been buying these drops from the 1st Avenue Vet in Walmer (who always provide excellent and friendly service) for the last few years but decided it would be easier to pop in to the Uitenhage Vetshop again.
The same lady who had previously assisted me told me very rudely that there was no such thing as deworming drops and that my vet had obviously been fooling me for the last few years. She was extremely rude and I once again walked out feeling angry and confused by her poor treatment I had received.
