I bought a golf scooter which transports a golfer and his clubs around a golf course. Due to repeated breakdowns, scooter returned to supplier in July 2011. Supplier originally offered to repair scooter and sell it then pay me R10, 000 when sold. Later offered R6500 without need to be sold. I accepted that offer but payment to me never made. Still waiting. It is clear that Hodson has reneged on his offer and has no intention to pay me what he owes. Subsequent reduced offers also accepted by me but still nothing paid to me. I would not be at all surprised if he has sold the scooter and kept the money. I cannot prove that because I live in Johannesburg and he in Western Cape. He no longer replies to my emails. I would warn all golfers who might be considering purchasing a golf scooter from Mark Hodson Scooters to be very wary about the poor quality of the product and the ethics of the supplier.
