I have a Dalmatian of 3 years old. He has a chronic ear infection that causes him much irritation and discomfort. I am an unemployed person and my husband doesn't earn a big income. I have gone from vet to vet trying to get treatment for my dog, his name is Jok. I have been refused treatment for him because i am unable to pay cash. The vets refuse to let people pay their accounts off any more. To make matters worse, the SPCA are clamping down on people who do abuse their animals by confiscating them and giving the culprit a fine and i am all for this but how can I pay a fine if I cant even pay for my dogs treatment. Should the SPCA visit and inspect my dog, they are going to confiscate him because I am unable to pay in cash for his treatment and they will see this as neglect. The SPCA gets an X amount of money for each animal they put down (euthanize), so will the wealthy be the only people to have pets. It sounds to me like the vets are boycotting less privileged people so that the SPCA can make some money. I find this very unfair and irregular and want something done about it. Is the welfare of the animals not more important than just money. We demand fairness. i love my pets.
