I have purchased two items from Makro Springfield recently.
1) A Candy Top Loading Washing machine. The washinge was delivered promptly - The item was delivered
without boxing - the delivery crew discovered that the machine was dented and the machine was returned to Macro.
2) As recently as 5 days ago I purchased another 8Kg Bosh Washing Washinge which is not functioning properly. I called the sales personnel from whom I had bought the machine who tried (to duck and dive) as much as they could - first telling me that he machine could not be replaced after they had told my wife and I that the machine could be replaced if there was a defect and that it could not be repaired
Apart from the fact that I am disappointed and having convinced myself not to purchase anything from Makro ever again. My wife and I and I are both in our seventies and don't appreciate having to drive around following up items which are defective.
I have also previously purchased an Epson printer- on the box it suggests that the printer is wifi compatible - When I set up the printer it appears that the printer is not wifi compatible without purchasing additional software. Clearly the personnel selling the equipment are not familiar with the details - I have kept the printer and made adjustments so that I can use the printer.
This probably reinforces my statement not to purchase anything from Macro again as I have for past 20 years or so. The personnel are also not aware of the Consumer Protection Act, which offer me some remedy.
