Public Storage in Mnandi was taken over by Stor-Age at the end of 2013.
Rates remained the same for 3 months.
Today I get notice that my unit (single garage) is going up from R600pm to R999pm.
This is totally unjustified.
I phoned them - the first lady I spoke to said that when they bought out Public Storage, they weren't happy with the rates we were being charged; and also that they had improved security and pest control.
I have NO issue at all with an increase. But 70%!!! You have got to be kidding me!!
I then spoke to a lovely lady who would submit my query/objection to their Head Office and give me feedback on Monday.
Seriously guys - you knew what we were paying when you bought it, so there is no way you can expect everyone to happily accept a 70% increase. If it was you in our shoes - would you accept it??? NO!!!
