I bought a Yorkie on 30 June. He seems fine, but after a few days started vomiting and had diarrhea. He was also not eating well. We took him to the vet an apparently he has Coccidia (which he could only contract from other pets) and anemia. We have no other pets and he has not been in contact with any other pets. Funny enough, I noticed 2 other complaints from people today, on Hello Peter who also bought their pups in the same weekend who had the same disease. Now the pup is in hospital; we have incurred a HUGE bill and this is really not fair. It cannot be a coincidence. I am praying for the sake of my kids that he does get better as the pet shop is really playing with people's emotions which is not right.
I really hope that someone else does not get caught out like this and does their homework, unlike I did. I did not realise that there had been protests against this pet shop and they way that they treat their pets. Next step is the Consumer Protection Act.
