Dismal service and incompetent mechanics

I booked my Toyota Yaris service today (22/01/2014) at McCarthy Toyota Edenvale but also asked them to check my lightstalk (switch) as my parking lights were not working. My 1.5 year old son had played around with it earlier and I was sure the switch was broken as I had checked all the fuses. When the service adviser (Gideon) phoned later to report on the problem he said there was nothing wrong with the switch when they tested it., and that I would have to bring the car back another day for a proper electrical check. Upon arrival I started questioning their "diagnosis" and it later became evident that the mechanics had only checked the fuses and when, according to them, they realized all the fuses were in the "incorrect places", they stopped checking. Obviously the fuses were indeed in the correct positions, confirmed by Shane the foreman with a very bad attitude, which made it obvious they never checked, or not properly at least, the lightstalk and Shane admitted upon checking himself that it might indeed be the problem. He however refused to re-check it and insisted I bring the car back another day after wasting the whole day. Also the condition of my car was dismal after collect
