SABC was told almost a year ago that we no longer own a TV or radio and have no intention of purchasing either again. They have been provided with my ID number and other personal information time and time again, yet they ACT stupid as if they don't have the information, and continue to harass us to pay a licence for a TV they KNOW we do not own! Then their lawyers harassed us and I told them the same thing, only to have the lawyers ACT stupid and continuously pretend I hadn't said we DO NOT OWN the necessary equipment that would require us to pay them a cent! I invited them all to come and see for themselves and told them their emails are being marked as the spam they are. Now, we are getting upsetting SMSs about the sheriff of the court coming to claim our possessions!
I am going to be opening a police case against SABC for harassment, defamation of character and attempted. I'm sick of being harassed and if they want to act stupid, they can try it with the police and my lawyer. I will NOT take this illegal harassment lying down. Sorry for SABC, but I know my rights and am not scared of them!
