Appalling Attitude

Ms Valentyn has a very interesting approach to customer relations. Never have I been treated with such contempt.
To her defence, we were in the wrong and hadn't settled the full rental cost on the collection date. This, as she pointed out to me was noted on her quote and as she highlighted, I am "too stupid to read."
To our defence, we hadn't done business with her company before and weren't aware of the payment terms as we had already paid a R600, 00 deposit. She had mailed us the morning of the collection and reminded us to bring along all the proofs and IDs, but chose not to highlight the payment terms.
When our driver arrived to fetch the trailer, she informed us that she isn't even opening the gate until she has her money. When I say 'inform', I mean 'shout'.
We apologised and offered to settle via EFT. She refused and said that unless the money is in her account we "don't stand a chance". Bank issued Proof of Payments don't fly here.
I then rushed off to pay her in cash. Once I arrived there, the floodgates of abuse opened. She told me to " off" and reiterated that I am "too stupid to read".
She has genuine disdain for her customers. A truly horrid experience.
