I am writing on behalf of a recent applicant to a job advertised by Glamour inc
the young lady concerned attended an interview at Glamour inc's offices in Benoni on the 15th of november at the interview they asked her to help out and she worked within their organisation preparing subjects for photo shoots (I'm sure their clientele think you have professional makeup artists and would be shocked to know they are using job applicants), this is both unethical and illegal under the employment act, they then asked her to work a full day on the saturday, excited about the prospect of a job she left home at 4 am and travelled on 4 taxis to be punctual at their premises where she worked a full day till 4.30pm and travelled home also by taxi at her own expense, they then promised to call her about future employment and to pay her for the time she had spent working in their . that was a month ago and despite emails and phone calls she has not been offered further work or reimbursed for her time working in their studios, in todays employment climate its shocking to treat job applicants in this unethical and disgraceful manne
