We had a work function booked at Spa Afrique on Thursday, 28 Nov 13. We arrived on time, but was left standing in the entrance hall with not enough seats for everybody. After a while somebody came to take us to the back on the spa, where there were still nog enough seats for everybody so some people had to stand. They offered us tea and coffee which we had to make ourselves, with a cold urn. We were then left to sit/stand there for about an hour, with no communication on what was happening. This made everybody very uncomfortable and made us feel unwelcome. Some people flew up from Cape Town for the day to receive this poor service. There was no plan of action from the staff, and no host to lead us. Eventually when they came to fetch us, five people had to share a massage room. They told everybody to get undressed, without providing separate rooms or gowns. Keeping in mind that this is a work function, it is not appropriate for colleagues to undress in front of each other like this. The staff did not understand the problem and the "manager" did not do anything about it. Some of the masseuse were chewing gum and had long nails, scratching people. Really disappointing!
