Victoria & Alfred Waterfront
Toxic materials next to baby changing matt?!

On Saturday 30th Nov 2013, I needed to change my baby. I entered the child changing room at the parking level. It was a shambles. The matt was nasty, and right next to it stood industrial spray bottles of chemicals, plastic bags and a bucket and plastic bags on the floor with toilet paper. Beyond the lack of hygiene, what would happen should a baby grab one of those spray bottles? A small child could have spilled or sprayed the chemicals on themselves, onto their hands or eyes or even ingested it. Hospitalisation would be inevitable. It could result in very serious consequences. What if a less vigilant mother did not think it through & changed her baby near such hazards? Customers spend a lot of money at V&A centre, and V&A thrive from tourist dollars. I have heard many horror stories about their baby rooms, and apparently they do not respond or care. Overseas baby changing stations and parent room are a wonderful place to tend to your children so that the trip need not be cut short. Cavendish have made the effort to raise standards. I would be happy to help them design top notch parent rooms. This lack of care is insulting & dangerous to us & their next generation of customers!
