I have lodged a complaint regarding Medical Negligence 18 months ago. No result, No conclusion, No commitment regarding time lines nor cut off date when Dr's should respond. According to my understanding the Dr's in question should respond within 30 days. Apparently they just ignore this. The ombudsman's office is in the same building than the HPCSA and do not respond at all. They just refer me back to the case worker. The time as advertised to spend on a case should not be longer than 6 months. WHAT MUST I DO FOR THEM TO FINALISE THE CASE?
I need the HPCSA to finalize the matter to ensure success in a civel case and the window period is 36 months. I do not want to persue the matter before I have the result of the HPCSA because of legal costs that is tremendously high.
