EPORT FROM ONE YEAR AGO AND STILL NOTHING! About 3 years ago, a dentist messed my teeth. It took HPCSA 1 year to respond after threats to expose them to the Health Minister. I was ill advised by my HPCSA advocate who for 6 months spoke to me about restitution. I was happy with his explanation and happy that HPCSA was finally exposing bad practitioners in the medical service in SA.The day of the hearing, my advocate changed his tune and talked me into settlement. A low sum of money that was not enough to fix the damages caused by the dentist. I did not take the money and told him the next day that I was unhappy with the decision. He told me that nothing can be done. I tried reporting this to the CEO of the HPCSA to which the very same advocate responded stating I got my restitution and threatened me that he reserves his rights. Am I supposed to be scared and keep quiet or what must I do. I do not have the money, the dentist is still in operation hurting others and my teeth are still not sorted. Can someone please help me? Not the advocate who is threatening me please. Do I have to report this to SA law society or national media?
