An 'industry' seems to have sprung up recently that entails unauthorised debits from individual bank accounts; with the culprits hoping that people do not care or are too lazy to do something about it. In the meantime the culprits are pocketing the money. Zingzilla is such a company. I have never heard of them, but they had the gall to simply start debiting R299.99 from my bank account for a so-called lifestyle package. On my enquiry, the telephonist was most unhelpful, in fact positively rude. Standard Bank simply wash their hands of the matter and leave it to the customer to sort out the problem. I feel that the national and banking authorities should do something about this!
