I wish to place the following on record:
[URL Removed] offered me a free gift (a Samsung cell phone) and all I had to do was to pay for the postage of R24.00. No further conditions was mentioned on the offer, or conditions that one has to obliged with to get the free cellphone
I accepted the offer and paid for the shipping fee.
Wippy [URL Removed] have acknowledge receipt for the shipping fee - still no mention of any other fees. Although the receipt requested the following (Which I did not supply)
o Scanned copy of valid ID (passport or driver's license)
Scanned copy of signed credit card form.
According to the help center - When I buy from [URL Removed] then I automatically agree to become a gold member and authorize you to debit my account with the relevant fees.
I deny
o That I bought anything from [URL Removed] - I accepted the free gift and paid the shipping fee - nowhere on the site does it advertise to sell shipping fees.
o Nowhere did I agree to become a gold member.
o I did not give them authorization - either implied or specific, to debit my account for the fee of a gold membership
