I went to Checkers (my local electricity vendor) to buy R300 worth of electricity but was informed that the system was offline. I then went to Pick 'n Pay to discover their system was also offline. I also tried Absa's online prepaid electricity which also did not work.
Desperate for electricity, I went to Cavalier Motors Caltex where I managed to buy electricity.
I only received half of the units I normally get at Checkers for R300.
