I received a phone call from CTC Distributors call centre, Claudal was the call centre lady. She tried to sell me a product that saves you money. My MAJOR concern is that she had all my personal details, cellphone company that I have a contract with, ID no, banking details as well as my postal address.
After a 10 minute explanation of what she wants to sell to me she told me she will be deducting R299 from my banking account at the end of September and gave me several digits of my bank account to confirm the account number. I told her she did not mention these costs at the beginning of the conversation and a further R99 per month. She was insistant that I take the policy, to finish the conversation I asked her to mail me details of the product she wants to sell as I am really not interested.
I am extremly concerned that my personal details are avaialble to a call centre and would like to get legal advice regarding this matter.
