On requesting a full statement of my Standard Bank credit card account from Bham & Dahya Attorneys I found that payments that I have made amounting to R5 500 had not been credited to my account. Interest had been incorrectly calculated amounting to R13 714.40. Interest was charged for periods before they actually took over the account? No collection commission was charged initially then all of a sudden charged. In setting a precedent in not charging for this no charges should have been added to my account. I have already repaid the capital amount of the debt, and extra but they refuse to accept a fair settlement that I have offered. They are exploiting people that have had financial difficulty in the past by loading the interest charges and calculating incorrectly, not to mention their tardy charges and non allocation of payments received.
I want this account rectified and their acceptance of my proposed settlement.
