Never Received Lette

I posted an envelope with a short note and a few military pins on the 17 March 2013.
It was posted in Centurion to be delivered to my Father in Port Elizabeth.
It never arrived!
It is now almost 4 months later and he has no letter, it was also not returned to me, so therefore the only conclusion was that it was!!!
Now i really dont know why anyone would want to these plastic pins, they are not woth the stamp i used to post them.
It was however of sentimental value, as my husband hand made these pins, especially for my father.
I am extremely dissapointd and disgusted with the SA Postal Office.
If you can not even trust that a letter will reach its destination, what hope do we have that more important mail will reach its intended destination.
I suppose its pointless complaining! They can do nothing to rectify this or make it alright.
I suppose i must learn my lesson the hard way and next time use Postnet or DHL to deliver a simple envelope to my father.
