Our company were approached by Tax Shop Roodepoort to do our Accounting in 2011 & 2012. In 2013 another company took over and found out that NOTHING was done!! We have missing invoices from the 2011 & 2012. We were never registered for PAYE, VAT, and our books is basically in a mess.
We paid Roodepoort Tax Shop a monthly retainer and they even promised that all the stuff were being transferred to Pastel, which also never happened.
We also paid for company registration, which we are still waiting for!
This was an expensive lesson, that I truly hope no one should ever have to go through!!
I think that people should be very aware these cowboys as you do not want to mess around with SARS.
Starting a new business to create jobs is difficult enough and I think it is disgusting for any Financial service to take advantage of this.
